Students benefit from tuition

One to one tuition gives the student time to focus, question and learn. They have time to work alongside their tutor and engage in topic discussion they might not otherwise approach. Small group tuition is beneficial as group discussion allows debate and indepth analysis of texts with each other alongside guidance from tutor. As English involves a lot of reading, tuition provides an extra layer of explanation and time to spend on key elements of certain genres. One to one and small group tuition encourages critical thinking in the student.

CV/COVER lETTER PREPARATION

The 'right' words may not seem too important to many people. But remember when you are applying for a job, your CV or your letter of application, or your application form, is the first meeting you have with your prospective employer. The words you have written can make all the difference. Those words will see you to interview stage or not....and then the words you use at interview will sell you to your employer or not....you must use the 'right' words to make that employer see that YOU are the right person for the job. Words count.

Each student is different and learning needs can vary for the individual. Many students find one to one tution or small group tution beneficial. It enables them to take time to understand a text: time to read through work thoroughly: time to ask questions if they are unsure. It allows them to air any concerns they might have. Sometimes hearing something spoken out loud makes a difference from just reading it on the page. A tutor can also make up a learning/revision plan whereby the workload of the student is immediately reduced.
